Giving Hands is a non-profit social enterprise driven by compassion and the desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of those less privileged. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to bridging the gap between abundance and lack.
At Giving Hands, we believe that every donation has the power to transform lives which is why we ensure that every contribution made through our platform finds its way into the hands of individuals and families who will cherish them.
Giving Hands is the trading name for DARE MANUS EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE, a registered non-profit organization under Part C, Section 590 of Companies and Allied Matters Act Cap 20 LFN 2004. RN 6996087.
Our mission is simple
To collect from those who have resources to spare and give them to those who are in dire need of them. Whether it is clothing, household items, or educational supplies, we provide a platform for individuals to donate their gently used items, knowing that they will be put to good use by those who need them most.

HOW WE WORK
Meet a need now and put a smile on someone’s face.

We solicit donations from people towards reducing the impact of poverty in our community. People are encouraged to get involved through the following:
- Donating of used items
- Volunteering of time and resources
- Partnering with us to host donation drives -
We seek donations done through various channels like:
- Our Website: Donors are requested to fill a short form that states the items to be donated, quantity, their location and contact details. Our support staff contacts them with details of the nearest drop off location to them.
- Donation Drive: We host collection events at targeted locations after providing notice, enabling individuals to gather items they wish to donate.
- Donations/Partnership with Organizations: We approach organizations with proposals for support, seeking donations or partnerships to host donation drives or contribute items for the cause. - After Collection: Donated items are cleaned, sorted and packaged at our warehouse. These items are distributed to eligible NGOs who have made requests and are found to be genuine.
